Phytosanitary import regulations of Montenegro are based on Law on Plant Health Protection (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro” 28/06, “Official Gazette of Montenegro” 28/11) and Rulebook on phytosanitary measures against the introduction, prevent from spreading and suppression of organisms harmful to plants, plant products and objects under supervision, with lists of harmful organisms, plants, plant products and objects under supervision (“Official Gazette of Montenegro” 39/11) which will enter into force on 4 February 2012.

These regulations are harmonized with the EU Commission Directive 2000/29/EC. According to this directive, additional declarations are required and should be indicated on the phytosanitary certificates with reference to the relevant position in Annex IV part A Section I.

To avoid future logistic and administrative problems during trade, we kindly ask You to familiarize with our requirements Your inspectors and exporters.
